DFARS 252.204-7012 Safeguarding Covered Defense Information and Cyber Incident Reporting
Republic Brass Sales, Inc has taken great steps to be in compliance with DFARS 252.204-7012 and NIST SP 800-171. As such, we safeguard covered defense information and cyber incident reporting through adequate security as to not compromise sensitive data and controlled technical information using a securely covered contractor information system. Republic Brass has the ability to adequately secure technical information and can rapidly report in the event of such a brief is encountered. In the event of a breach we will;
  • Notify the prime Contractor (or next higher-tier subcontractor) when submitting a request to vary from a NIST SP 800-171 security requirement to the Contracting Officer, in accordance with paragraph (b)(2)(ii)(B) of this clause; and
  • Provide the incident report number, automatically assigned by DoD, to the prime Contractor (or next higher-tier subcontractor) as soon as practicable, when reporting a cyber incident to DoD as required.
